Russula virescens is an edible mushroom found in mixed forests in summer months. Russulas have a distinct chalk like snap to them due to the fact that they have round cells rather than ellipse shaped cells like most other mushrooms!

This specimen is made with vintage green flecked woven twill to simulate the quilted looking caps of these mushrooms
